Hey, I’m Vic!

In May of 2016, I became the first member of my family to graduate college and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from Western Michigan University (WMU). While at WMU, my experience was shaped by two extracurriculars; my design work, inside and outside the classroom, and my involvement as a student and campus leader through my social fraternity, Pi Kappa Phi (Pi Kapp). When the opportunity to work for Pi Kapp as the organization's sole in-house graphic designer presented itself, the decision to move away from my native Michigan to Charlotte, NC, was a no-brainer.

At Pi Kappa Phi, I refined his graphic and digital design capabilities by working with industry-standard software programs and design methodologies. My design and leadership abilities resulted in a promotion to Assistant Executive Director of Communication for the fraternity supervising the entire in-house communications team while maintaining my duties as the organization's primary graphic designer. Currently, I work as a Visual Designer at IBM in hybrid cloud technologies under observability products in Austin, TX.

In my free time, I enjoy exploring new design methodologie and dabble with emerging tech. I also perform in local theater productions, play video games, and volunteer my spare time with various service-based organizations throughout the Austin community. I am passionate about designing innovative and striking ideas as a means of creating change and always looking to connect with others in the design field. I welcome outreach and the opportunity to network!
